VINTAGE RENEWED FOR JULIA MOSS
Julia Moss, the founder and visionary behind Julia Moss Designs in Minneapolis, wanted to give new life to boxes of your grandmother’s silver stuffed in basements and closets everywhere. She knew that these sentimental masterpieces weren’t being used—too much polishing and way too stuffy for Americans’ casual lifestyles. So, she breathed new life into these relics with her proprietary powder colorization technique. Now these pieces are proudly used in dining rooms, powder rooms, kitchens, laundry rooms and family rooms.
Julia turned to Barbara and studiobstyle to capture the beauty of these magnificent, one of a kind pieces. With her new Autumn-Winter collection just launching, Julia wanted to showcase her pieces as homeowners would use them, so Barbara styled them in inspiring, curated, real-life vignettes.
These images, Julia’s story and other unique pieces in her collection made a stop in Des Moines, Iowa (home to Meredith Publishing) where they wowed editors who shared their admiration with their networks. The vignettes then made their way onto the pages of Midwest Home, NY Spaces, City Pages, Pioneer Press, Mpls St. Paul Magazine’s Top 100 edition, and Lake Minnetonka magazine.
