Situation

Dwell on Design was re-launching its iconic design show in 2018, making room for speakers who wantex`d to share insight with Dwell audiences but who were not required to also host a booth.

Opportunity

Studiobstyle saw this as an opportunity for client Pella to showcase its expertise on modern design with designers and architects while elevating a member of its Design Council and engaging attending media.

Solution

Pella director of architectural business development Alan Pickett, Pella Design Council member Takashi Yanai, partner at Ehrlich Yanai Rhee Chaney Architects. In Los Angeles, and Meredith Heron of Meredith Heron Design in Toronto gathered on the Studio Two stage to share their ideas on what makes good modern design, and how you know it when you see it.

The discussion continued over an intimate media dinner at a new LA eatery.

Results

Results are still rolling in, but Studiobstyle has identified three stories for media placement as a result of the panel and dinner.

Studiobstyle penned an article for nationally syndicated publication Star Tribune Magazine, and a blog for the largest shelter publication in the region, Midwest Home magazine, featuring highlights from the show, including Pella’s Alan Pickett.

The social media team captured video of the panel discussion and interviews with Alan, Takashi and Meredith to post on Pella.com and share on social.
