The Greatest Show on Earth: KBIS
Benefits for Attending the largest Kitchen and Bath Show in the U.S.

Over the past fifteen to twenty years, I have been attending the annual Kitchen and Bath Industry Show (KBIS) as an exhibitor, an attendee and as a member of the press. Each year I am asked why I attend and if it’s really valuable to my business.
Truth be known that there was a time when the excitement around KBIS and most other industry shows waned. The economy forced a retooling and then the momentum and excitement was back. For the past several years, the show has grown and continues to be a vibrant meeting of manufacturers, builders and designers as well as the media.
Specifically, here are some of the reasons I attend:rite here…
New Product Launches
Most of the kitchen and bath industry launches new product in some fashion at the show. A lot of times this is a bit ahead of the curve as the products are in pre order for designers and builders.
This is a great way for manufacturers to see if there is interest in the products before they actually create the infrastructure to bring the product to market. It’s a great time for manufacturers to involve designers, builders and editors in determining optional colorways and features before the product launch happens.
Every year studiobstyle is asked to write up trend analysis for our various clients and several publications. I’m always amazed at how small the world is in manufacturing. Somehow trends happen in finishes, shapes, and services.
Big trends we saw last year was the matte black finish on faucets to windows. Matte black has continued to be a strong player in all surfaces in the home including cabinetry, wall color and light fixtures.
Our Clients = Our Inspiration
A lot of client relationships happen over phone calls, email and social media theses days but those platforms do not replace a handshake, hug and a “How are You?” with a smile. Our passion about the creative and amplification we build starts to happen as soon as we hear about a new product.
A lot of my inspiration happens at the show and I literally see creative in my mind as soon as I hit the show floor. If you are into design in any way, shape or fashion, this is your Disneyworld. There is so much to get excited about!
Not only do we spend time with clients and friends, we learn from industry peers and share our knowledge as well. This year, we diving deep into our own experiences with bstyle brandboost ™ and our shared value proposition for untouchable creative and amplification.
We will be speaking on Tuesday February 19th in the North Hall Room #blah blah at 1:30 p.m. We have so much to share from our last year of work – our best and biggest year ever – as well as incredible new projects for 2019.
